Join us on Sunday, September 12th for a church-wide celebration as we kick-off the new program year. Show off your special talent in our Variety Show. You can sing, dance, do something serious, drama, tell a joke, or even team up with a friend. There will be only one service at 9:30am on this special, with a potluck immediately following. In Discerning the Voice of God: How to Recognize When God Speaks popular author and speaker Priscilla Shirer relates powerful Bible truths and provides practical steps on how to know the voice of God. This study will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 8th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm as part of our Wednesdays at Wakonda program. Contact Lisa Kelsey for more information.

Discussion groups based on the compelling new God Sightings program are being formed. Each week, God Sightings discussion groups will explore Bible truths using the One Year Bible and then look for God's expressions of those truths in their daily lives. For those who are able, a $20 donation will help cover the cost of each participant's materials. Please contact the church office if you are interested.

NEW THIS YEAR! Wakonda is pleased to announce that on September 15th we are bringing Awana to our Wednesday youth program that meets during the school year from 6pm to 7:30pm. For nearly 60 years, Awana has been a leader in children’s ministry, helping churches and parents worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ. More than 12,000 U.S. churches run Awana with programs in all 50 states. Awana can also be found in over 6,000 churches in 109 other countries. The founders of Awana derived the Awana name from the first letters of Approved workmen are not ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 of the Bible.
