Open to all kids in grades 1st through 5th that would LOVE to be part of this cool group! We sing, we dance, all to the glory of God! The KFC/JYF Choir meets on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:05 starting on September 16th, 2007.

Youth in grades 6th through 12th make up this very talented group! In addition to singing, kids are also given the chance to use other instrumental gifts like drums, bass...you get the picture. This group meets on Sunday mornings from 10:05 to 10:25 as part of "Sunday Morning Live".

Total Praise is made up of a very talented group of singers who simply love to sing God's praises! They sing all different kinds of music, recognizing that each style is unique and effective in helping to bring worshipers into the presence of God. Total Praise meets every Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:00.

Silver Crowns remains one of Wakonda's favorites! Singing the "Top 20" hits of yesterday, this group is made up of our "older and wiser" church members. Silver Crowns meets every Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Come early for donuts and coffee, if you'd like! The donut gang meets at 9:00am right before rehearsal.

In addition to these featured choirs, Wakonda also offers a Men’s Choir, as well as a Women’s Choir. Any teenage or adult male or female are invited to sing in these ensembles. Both groups meet on Thursday evening; the women at 6:30 pm, and the men at 8:00 pm.

Throughout the year, our choirs are actively involved in weekly worship services, using a rotational system for scheduling. In addition, specific choirs are scheduled for ongoing special services and/or church-wide events. Total Praise has also become active in community-wide ministry in the Des Moines metro.
