Youth Sunday School classes are organized by age group and we have a groups for all children ages 3 to 18. All Sunday School classes are conviently scheduled between our first and second services on Sunday mornings. Classes start at 9:45am and end at 10:45am.

AGES 3 TO 4

Along with the Kindergarten thru 3rd graders, this class is commonly referred to as Sonshine. Our 3 to 4 year olds meet in the lower level of the church next to the kitchen. More information on the activities will be added soon.

GRADES K - 3RD

Along with the 3 and 4 year olds, this class is commonly referred to as Sonshine. They start in the sanctuary for music, then finish in the lower level classrooms. They are currently working on a series of lessons called "Focus on the Family".

Food - Exodus 16:1-35 – God's provision of food is one of the signs of His love for us. In today's lesson we will explore a variety of Bible themed foods, discuss God's gift of food to nourish our bodies, and make placemats that remind us to be grateful for what we are given. We may even practice some table manners!

Chores - 1 Samuel 16:1-13, 17:34-37 – We will realign how we feel about chores in this lesson! Through a discussion of David the Shepherd, we will learn that doing our chores is another way to serve God. It delights God to see a job well done!

Play - 1 Samuel 16:14-23 – We discussed chores...now it's time to play! God wants us to honor Him not only in our work, but in play! Today we will learn some of the games that they played in Biblical times, and discuss how playtime helps us to develop our strength and skills to better serve God.

School - Deuteronomy 4:1-14 – How does school fit into being a good Christian? The ability to learn is an exciting and valuable gift from God. We will enjoy comparing school in Bible times to what we know today, and discuss how God wants us to work hard at learning.

GRADES 4TH - 5TH

Our 4th and 5th graders start in the sanctuary for music, then finish in the lower level classrooms. This group is studying the Grapple lesson plans that are available on www.mygrapple.com

GRADES 6TH - 8TH

Chi Rho (pronounced ki-row), meets in the lower level Sunday School room. Sunday School responds to the 6th to 8th graders' need and desire to connect to the greater church by focusing on service, fellowship, and study of God's word. Lessons are tied to each Sunday's sermon, intended to cultivate new perceptions of faith and belief, and make the church a place of fun, learning, and experience. Chi Rho Sunday School also participates in the Chi Rho/CYF choir.

GRADES 9TH - 12TH

Our 9th thru 12th graders meet in the lower level underneath the sanctuary. These kids have a sweet setup. Couches are comfortable chairs are plentiful in this room. Sunday school time for this age group is intended to be a time of fellowship and thought provoking discussion about a variety of topics.
